how do i feel about this?.

too much doubt.. shame on you people who are responsible for putting richard to death.. richard is scheduled to be put to death in oklahoma at 3pm on september 16th by lethal injection.

i have followed this case and feel like so many people very bad about this.

The Rebel. (A) That is an ASSUMPTIVE comment. I have personally partitioned and even on posts on this site asked members to review the case and sign the partition if they agree.

The Rebel ( A) possibly that is often the case, words are such an unsattisfactory way to communicate, as your above comments proved.

Anyway we can quarrel, but the more important issue in my opinion is that today is a cold day for justice in Oaklahoma.

Witnes My Fury. "I'm pretty sure he is not facing death if the other guy was, or is that just wishful thinking on my part"

The Rebel. " I'm pretty sure" is not in my mind a reason to put a man to death.So why not research the case before you reply? It might even clarify your " Guilt by association" comment.

The FACT is innocent people are put to death, and I don't care if millions are happy with that justice. I am not. And I am not the only one. This is why Dr Phil opened his new season a week early to highlight this case. This is why people like Richard Branson and millions of ordinary people have partitioned to prevent this execution.

As Richard said " Unless it's your life on the line you don't know how heavy it is"

In January The U.S suspended Richards impending execution, at the final hour.

Richard " It's so unbelievable"

Now today Richard has to go through those final terrifying hours again, only this time it doesn't look like his execution will be suspended. That in itself, putting a man, (any man) through what Richard went through in January, only to repeat that today only this time to put the lethal injection in Richards arm is ....well imagine it.

How can Richard be put to death, based on the testimony of the man who admitted doing the killing?

And why did he implicate Richard?

(A) So he wouldn't get the death sentence himself.

What was Richards motive?

(A) An answer would be appreciated.

If it can happen to Richard it could happen to ME it can happen to YOU.

The EVIDENCE for Richards execution only a few hours away now, IS WHAT?

Richards being executed is as absurd as me killing someone and saying you put me up to it, so they execute you and not me.

well it seems for many on this board the time came to leave the w.t and cross the bridge in to a real world.

speaking for myself l feel i did not enter the cold and lonely world i was lead to believe i was entering.

rather i have discovered it was no great loss leaving a world that had protected me with false, dreams, fantazy and false promises.. but what have i really achieved by my leaving that i value?.

The Rebel:- I remember a little gem " phrase" that used to appear in the W.T, which was " we were giving " A FINAL WITNESS"

And so many years later, that " FINAL WITNESS" is still being given.

this damning quote is found on page 1 of the september 2015 our kingdom ministry, the last sentence in the 3rd bullet point under the sub-heading how to do it.

this quote amounts to an implicit admission that the jw practice of mentioning the donation arrangement to householders at the door, makes them look like door to door salesmen.. why would "jehovah's organization" be engaging in a practice that is nothing more than a transparent attempt at undercover soliciting?

Householder " are the magazine free?"

the pitch as taught at the Theogratic Ministry School:-

Witness " Well the magazines are free of charge, but not free of cost"

Householder " So do you want a donation or not?"

Witness " a voluntary donation would be appreciated"

Now as to the question did I feel awkward using this pitch?

A little embarrassed, but more awkward when a householder would give a ridiculously generos donation for the flimsy magazines I new they wouldn't read anyway.

Instructions from the Old Elder's Book

last night i was looking over the notes on my old elders book and one of the instructors told us to write this down.

"when you want to get the friends to believe and obey anything, just keep saying it over and over and over and eventually they will believe it and follow whatever they are being told.

when i went back to school, i learned this quote in one of my world history classes..

I think at some stage, many people sence the truth of what they have been repeatedly told even if it was a lie. This makes them miserable and obviously not appreciating, but rather despising the Elders who taught them the lie.

because it wasn't true anyway.

it was a dream.

the insanest dream, to believe that i was going to live forever.. but today i am alive, and i am determined to travel the seconds between life and death aware of my mortality.

But today I am alive, and I am determined to travel the SECONDS between life and death aware of my mortality. My now being mortal is a new beginning, a REAL exsperience, I will try and appreciate.

This is why I am happy to believe the W.T will one day be defeated.

Is that an insane thought?

A) I don't really care, it makes me contented and happy.

And finding sites like this I realise that it is not an insane thought. And I realise there are so many ex-witnesses scattered all over the globe. I see us as victims of an earthquake. After an earthquake, many are still in shock. But the simple fact is we survived that earth quake and are alive. We may for the moment have lost love ones to that Earthquake but there is hope they will be found in the rubble, and at the same time our exit is a victory against the Watchtower.

So today as I write, I realise I don't want to be in love with my hatred towards the W.T. It has taken me over a year to get rid of that assumption. I also realise sites like this make the school of " Life" our common classroom. I wonder what I can learn by asking you:-

A) Where are you in your recovery stage?

B) How long did it take to get where you are?

C) And where do you hope to be a year from now?

WHEN people leave a cult...MAN landed on the moon? Or critical thinking......

i believe anyone who has voluntarily left a cult has shown they can adapt to new solutions, and have used " critical thinking" skills otherwise most would not have left.. yet i believe a safe place for support is still needed and this safe place i believe is searched for.. now i may not measure up to much in ways of education, but for me personally " critical thinking skills" = " new" a " new" way of thinking, that takes time for me the individual to be visual and to contemplate.

and the more i read about " critical thinking," the more convinced i am that i can live with the ridicule of those that claim i do not possess it.

furthermore i would say those that criticise others " critical thinking skills," often luck the sensibility and thoughts to snore, spit, and fart....nor would they understand a room full of tobacco smoke and cheap booze...where " critical thinking " can often be found in its most profound, in the most sensitive poems and "pictures" that were ever drawn.

Well obviously posting is about right proportions. Often by reading and contemplating what a person has written, we unearth a well of riches.

Often I am inspired by questions raised by the pupils, willing to learn as much as I am by the masters. But I have also found some wonderful and inspiring teachers here. Admittedly there is also the odd eccentric, but I can live with that.
